Legends Open Season With Big Win

The Schenectady Legends opened on the road today against the Binghamton Pioneers with a 148-85 win. The Legends high-power offense spoiled the Pioneers’ debut in the IBA matinee, with six players in double figures. Lloyd Johnson scored 28 points to lead all Schenectady scorers. EJ Gallup scored 27 points, Kareem Thomas 24, Shea Bromirski 18 and center Clayton Longmire added 17. Legends new head coach and former Siena great Scott Knapp was equally pleased with his team’s performance in his first ever professional win as the Legend’s coach.

Legends open at home next Friday night November 7 at Amsterdam High School. Game time is scheduled for 7 PM. The game’s fund raiser benefactor is Wishful Thinking Foundation of Amsterdam. Tickets can be purchased online here.
