Sutherland Of Toronto 3D Signs Pro Contract With Moncton Miracles


IBA newcomer Toronto 3D announced that veteran Tramar Sutherland has signed a professional contract with the Moncton Miracles of NBL Canada. Sutherland led Toronto to a perfect 16-0 record and the NBBL championship this past summer, averaging 23 ppg and 8.9 rpg. He was named NBBL Finals MVP scoring 17 points and 7 rebounds in the championship game.

A 6’3″ 200 lbs. guard, Sutherland was named a top-5 player in the Greater Toronto Area after his senior season at Father Henry Carr High School. He then played two seasons at South Plains College in Texas, where he was a 2-time WJCAC All-Conference Honorable Mention, averaging 13.9 ppg and 4.5 rpg his sophomore season.

Sutherland went on to play at NCAA Division I Arkansas Little-Rock (2010-12), helping the Trojans to a Sun Belt Tournament championship and NCAA Tournament appearance his junior season.

Toronto 3D will make their IBA debut on November 21 when they face the Schenectady Legends. The team is playing a limited four-game schedule this winter before a planned full schedule in the 2015 IBA Spring season.
